What is the difference between sterling silver and fine silver? TOP Fine silver is .999 pure! I use a product called PMC (Precious Metal Clay) which is made up of water, an organic binder, and silver particles. Through the firing process of the charms the water and binder are burned away which leaves you with .999 pure silver! This type of silver will not tarnish like sterling so that is a benefit in and of itself! Sterling silver is nice too, but is only .975 pure. I am sure you have seen this stamped in your sterling silver jewelry you have. It is an alloy of silver and copper - so the downside to the sterling silver will tarnish. The chain I use is sterling silver, but the charms are all fine silver. Can I change the chain or shape of the charms on any necklace? TOP YES! Pretty much anything you want size, shape, chain style, etc can be done. Just email me from the contact us page with your special request. You may just have a great idea for a style necklace that I have not thought of doing!!!
